The Occupational Therapy School @ Augusta University is Georgia’s publicly funded Institute, which offers the Masters of Health Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. The admission procedure in this institute is very competitive.

#2 Brenau University-
Brenau University provides entry-level Master of Occupational Therapy degree in the state. The best thing about the Brenau University is that it offers different options for the degree like Day program, Hybrid Program, and Hybrid Weekend program. These options help the students to choose according to the need.

M.S.O.T. Program Locations: The program is offered at two different locations (Gainesville and North Atlanta/Norcross) with three program tracks: Gainesville Day program, North Atlanta/Norcross Hybrid Weekend program, and North Atlanta/Norcross Hybrid Day program.
Day Program at Gainesville-
This track is a seven-semester weekday program. This program begins from August month of each year.
Hybrid Weekend Program at North Atlanta/Norcross-
This track is a nine-semester program. It includes online classes and weekend classes. This program starts in January of each year. This option is best for the person who wants to study occupational therapy along with the current employment schedule.
Hybrid Day Program at North Atlanta/Norcross-
This track is a seven-semester hybrid weekday program. Students attend class and field work 3 days/evenings a week on-campus (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) and spend significant time in coursework online.
Post Professional OTD Program-
The OT School at Brenau University offers Post professional OTD program to the registered occupational therapist. This OTD program is of 2-Year (36 Credit Clinical Doctoral) Program. This course includes Online classes.
This program is for the Currently practicing and licensed occupational therapist having a Master’s degree or at least 30 credits of graduate coursework, and official transcripts.
Note- The Brenau University has recently applied for the entry-level OTD program in the OT school.
Status of Accreditation- The entry-level occupational therapy Doctorate (OTD) program has applied for accreditation and has been granted “Applicant” status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the AOTA.

Occupational Therapy License in Georgia-
Graduates of accredited programs are eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the NBCOT. After successfully completing the NBCOT examination, the person will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). All states, including Georgia, require a license to practice occupational therapy. Once the therapist receives a professional license, she/he is considered an OTR/L.
