The New Hampshire state has 2 ACOTE accredited Occupational therapy Schools which provide an entry-level master degree. Plus, the state also has 1 ACOTE accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Schools which provides an associate degree. Occupational therapy License in New Hampshire-

Occupational therapist and Occupational therapy Assistants are required to get a license from the office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals (Occupational Therapy Governing Board).

The minimum requirements for the license are –

  • Entry level master degree or OTD degree
  • NBCOT exam’s passing certificate.
  • Application fees.

Temporary OT/OTA License :

A conditional license to practice as an occupational therapist (OT) or as an occupational therapy assistant (OTA) may be granted to persons who have completed the educational and experience requirements for licensure and are waiting to take or receive the results of the certification examination.

The Occupational Therapy School offers an entry level combined bachelor’s degree/master’s degree program for the freshmen and entry-level Master of Science in Occupational Therapy for the undergraduates. Both the options are fully accredited by the ACOTE. The Accelerated BS/MS OT option is best for the students who have decided their career in Occupational therapy.

Recently, the OT school at University of New Hampshire has applied for the entry-level Doctoral OT course. After getting approval, the MSOT program will become the OTD program. The current ACOTE Status is – Applicant OTD.
